8 Hours of Music May 21, Noon - 8 p.m.
ABOUT PERKASIE PORCHFEST 2022
All are invited to join the Perkasie Towne Improvement Association and PBR Productions for the inaugural Perkasie PorchFest on Saturday, May 21.
PorchFest is a walkable music festival where neighbors offer up their front porches as makeshift concert venues. Talented performers will play rotating sets throughout the neighborhood during this day-long celebration of music. Stroll from porch to porch to enjoy live, local talent, bike or walk your way from porch to porch, be sure to stop by Perkasie’s amazing array of eateries for lunch and dinner!
How does Perkasie PorchFest work?
Neighbors offer their porches, performers volunteer their talents. We pair the two and performances are held throughout the community between noon and 8 p.m, allowing attendees to stroll from house to house while enjoying a wide variety of music and Perkasie hospitality.
So it’s free?
Yes! Thanks to the goodwill of our sponsors, volunteers, performers, residents, community sponsors, and donors, Perkasie Porchfest is free to attend.
Who organizes Perkasie PorchFest?
The inaugural Perkasie PorchFest is brought to you by the Perkasie Towne Improvement Association and PBR Productions, a Perkasie business that specializes in producing live and virtual events for broadcast.
What are the safety protocols?
We’re committed to hosting a safe and fun music event. We will adhere to all current COVID protocols on the day of PorchFest and will update this page with specifics as we get closer to the event.
Is PorchFest walkable?
Short answer, yes! You are invited to walk, ride bikes, scooters, and/or push strollers as you move from one porch to another. Porches will be organized so that there will be plenty to see and hear close by. A schedule of performances will be made available in advance so that you may plan which porches you’ll hit. (See map above)
What should I bring with me?
You don’t need to bring anything, but you’re welcome to bring water, snacks, and an umbrella for rain or to keep the sun off your back. We also suggest a blanket or lawn chair to stay comfortable during the 45-minute sets.
Eating and drinking?
Attendees are welcome to bring water or snacks to enjoy along the route, but we highly recommend checking out the incredible restaurants, bars, and cafes Perkasie has to offer. Come for lunch and stay for dinner!
Will there be bathrooms?
Five portable restroom facilities will be strategically located throughout the areas. (See the map above)
Will streets be closed?
For the most part, no. Please be aware of your surroundings and cross streets only at marked crosswalks.
Where can I park?
There are two municipal parking lots in the Perkasie Towne Center. One is on 7th Street, behind the Perkasie Borough Hall. The other is at 8th and Market Street, just over the railroad tracks. Parking is free.
